I'm still learning, so forgive me if I have this wrong. As I understand it, settlement is the step where shares and cash actually change hands after a trade, and moving from the usual two-day cycle to next day would shorten the time firms have to find money and securities. What I don't know yet is how much tokenisation changes that, or whether the post's source says anything about timelines for it. Could someone explain what "collateral" means in this context?
