This week's prop-firm discussion is about the rules, not the brands. ZenithFX does not recommend or rank any programme; the rules below are general and every programme publishes its own.
What to check
- Some programmes measure the daily limit from the day's starting balance, others from starting equity (open positions included) — the same 5% can mean very different things.
- Check when the 'day' resets (often a specific server time, not midnight where you live).
- Find out whether a breach closes the account instantly or only at the end of the day.

The distinction between balance-based and equity-based daily limits matters more than most people expect, because an open losing position under an equity definition counts against the limit before anything is closed. Before sizing, I would want to know how much of the limit a single idea can consume under the stricter definition, and whether a breach is enforced instantly or only at the reset. I have not traded under any of these rules myself, so I am working from the wording, not experience. Has anyone measured how a day's worst open drawdown compared with the closed-trade loss under the equity version?
